Amanda Seemann - BHK, MPT

Amanda Seemann is a highly trained and dedicated professional in the field of physical therapy. Born and raised in Prince George, she developed a passion for human health and movement at an early age. Her pursuit of knowledge and skills in the field has been extensive and commendable.

Amanda began her academic journey by earning a Kinesiology Diploma with Honours from the College of New Caledonia. She then went on to pursue her Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus, where she focused on clinical exercise physiology. During her time there, she demonstrated academic excellence and was involved in various extracurricular activities.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Amanda continued her academic pursuit by enrolling in the Master of Physical Therapy program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. During her time there, she displayed her leadership qualities by running the Neurosciences Club and serving as the Clinical Education representative. Moreover, she gained valuable experience as the Executive Assistant for the national Cardiorespiratory Division, where she helped to organize courses and disseminate information to physiotherapists across Canada.

Amanda's extensive training and experience have allowed her to excel in her profession. She has worked in both private practice and Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, where she has helped numerous patients achieve their optimal level of functioning. Now, she has returned to her hometown of Prince George, where she is excited to contribute to the community and help people attain the best quality of life possible.

Professionally, Amanda has a keen interest in working with stroke survivors and individuals with other neurological injuries, as well as with pediatrics. As an avid animal lover, she also plans to pursue canine physical therapy in the future. Her dedication to her work and commitment to helping others make her a valuable asset to the physical therapy community.


Favorite Pastimes: When not at work you can find me outdoors kayaking, skiing, hiking, or swimming at Summit Lake; in the gym weight lifting; or curled up with a good book.

Education/Training: Kinesiology Diploma with Honours at CNC, Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a focus in clinical exercise physiology at UBCO, Master of Physical Therapy at UBC Vancouver, Executive Assistant for the national Cardiorespiratory Division.
